Can I order multiple background checks at once, or do I need to order them one one at a time?
If you’re ordering 20 checks or more, you can submit a bulk order request to our Support Team. If you’re ordering less than 20 checks, you’ll need to order them one at a time.
How am I notified that my report is finished?
We’ll send you an email when the report you ordered is both partially and fully completed. You can change your settings to turn off these emails if you’d like.
At this time, only the user who ordered the report will be notified when it’s completed.
How do I turn off notification emails?
Log into your GoodHire account.
In the left-hand menu, click Account
Scroll down to the Email Preferences section. From here, you can select what kinds of emails you want to receive.
Am I able to add a check to a report if it has already ran?
Yes, simply pull up the report and click on the Add New Searches button.
When the report is finished, can I download or print it?
Yes, simply pull up the report and click on the Download or Print buttons.
How often are candidates reminded to provide their information so the background check can start running?
After the original email, we’ll send a reminder 72 hours later. If the candidate still doesn’t provide their info, we’ll notify you via email within a day. You can always provide the candidate’s info yourself by logging into your account and clicking on the blue Add Info link next to their name.
If the candidate’s information is never provided, we’ll automatically cancel and refund the check.
How can I update my company name or address?
Contact our Support Team for assistance. Depending on your situation, you may be required to provide documentation proving your name or address change, or you may need to create a new account altogether.
I’m getting an OOPS error. How can I fix it?
Oops errors are usually caused by a problem with your browser’s cache. Try doing the following:
If you’re using Google Chrome, try using an incognito window.
Clear your cache and cookies.
Try a different computer or mobile device and trying again.
If none of these steps fix the problem, contact our Support Team for assistance.
How can I look at results by status?
From your dashboard, you’ll see some large boxes showing the number of reports in various statuses. Simply click View All in the box to see only the reports in that status.
Alternatively, you can sort your reports to view them by status alphabetically. In the first row of your list of reports, simply click on Status.
Why am I charged before I provide the candidate's information?
We want to ensure your payment goes through before you or your candidate spend time providing the candidate’s info.
Why do you give candidates copies of the reports I order?
In some cases, federal or state law may require us to send a copy of the report to the candidate. But we also follow fair-chance hiring initiatives, including sending all candidates copies of their reports (if they have a valid email address). We think it’s more fair to the candidates and is a better way to start the employee-employer relationship.

How can I see the candidate info that was provided?
While viewing a candidate’s report, click on the Overview section. We will show you the most important information that was used in the background check, including name, date of birth, and SSN.
