Company Settings FAQ

GoodHire users are able to update the following information on the Company Settings page (Account > Company Settings):

  1. Archive Period
  2. Candidate Reference Codes
  3. Drug test deadline date for candidates

Report Settings

Use this section to update:

  • Archive Period: allows GoodHire background checks to remain on the Hiring Results dashboard until being automatically archived (see Archived Results). This value is based on when the candidate background check is ordered.
  • Candidate Reference Codes: allows GoodHire users to enter a reference code when completing candidate information for the background check.

Drug Screening Settings

Use this section to update:

  • Candidate Must Take Drug Testing within: set a custom deadline for the candidate to complete their drug screen, ranging from 1 to 60 days. Should the candidate not complete their drug screen before the deadline, the employer has the option to cancel the order and receive a refund.
  • Notify Candidate: turn on/off an email notification to the candidate if the drug test deadline is missed.
  • Notify Customer: turn on/off an email notification to the GoodHire user who placed the order if the drug test deadline is missed.

Dashboard Settings (Beta Testing)

Use this section to update:

  • Open Reports in New Tab: opens candidate background checks into a new tab from your main dashboard. Works for the following actions: View Progress, View Results, and Review Results.
    • Applies to all GoodHire users on the account.
